On the 8th anniversary of most deadly terrorist attack in India ’26/11′

November 26, 2008: It was like just another casual day, but what happened next completely altered the faith of Mumbai. The city fell victim to one of the worst terrorist attacks in Indian history. A terrorist group called Lashkar-e-Taiba terrorized the whole city including some very important locations and killed up to 166 people.

Today, the incident completes 8 years of distruction and reviving again.
On the three-day onslaught which began on November 26,2008; 10 terrorists targeted several high profile locations in the city, including lavish and grand five star Taj Hotel at the Gateway, the Oberoi Trident at the Naroman Point, Grand Leoplod cafe and also very crowded chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus.
They killed approximately 166 people and around 300 were left injured.
And nearly 26 foreign nationals were among those who were mercilessly bombed in the attack.

Kazakh, the mastermind behind the whole idea was later captured and was sentenced to death by a special anti-terror court in May 2010. And finally after two years he was hung at Yerawada central prison in Pune in November 2012.

And the case still goes on. The other seven people accused of planning and executing the Mumbai attacks included Zaki-ur-Rehman Lakhvi. He was released on bail last year, while the other six accused are in Rawalpindi’s Adaila Jail.

We pay our sincere condolences to the families who lost their loved ones in the 26/11.

Thank you. Stay tuned in for more.
