“Assent” and “No” are present popular expressions on account of Amitabh Bachchan and Taapsee Pannu-starrer ‘Pink’, yet there is one more viewpoint appeared in the film that individuals must be aware of it i.e; Zero FIR and other FIR-related laws. The film, Pink describes how young women from Delhi who have never had a brush with the law, and knows nothing about their legitimate rights.
In the film, the character Meenal is played by the Taapsee Pannu, who went to the police station in order to file a complaints in against a group of boys who afraid her and her friend, after she harmed one of them in self-preservation. However, after giving Meenal a lot of “Moral Gyan”, the cop advises her that he can’t enroll a FIR as “ghatna toh Surajkund ki hai”. When she later goes to a senior officer, he enlightens her regarding Zero FIR – that independent of the jurisdiction in which the incident happened, a FIR can be recorded anyplace and be later exchanged to the concerned police station. Government thanks Pink to let people aware of it.
