The Amir Khan starter Dangal’s day 4 box office collection crosses a magical figure of Rs. 132.433 crores. And Amir seems to be unstoppable even after collecting Rs. 132.43 crores in just four days of its release from 23rd December.
Dangal managed to cross Rs. 132.45 crores on the 4th day after its release worldwide. The movie rolled down on the silver screen on 23rd December. And Dangal collected a robust amount of Rs. 25.68 cr on Monday.As in other cases, the collection usually goes down when it’s Monday. But here nothing like this happened rather the film is unstoppable and going strong.
December 26 being a working day couldn’t affect the box office collection of Dangal and such is the magic of perfectionist Amir Khan.And the constant hits on box office shows the promising start of Dangal at box office.On Sunday ( December 25) , Dangal collected a good amount of Rs 42.35 crores .The growth rate of the film remained upswing on the 2nd and 3rd day of its release.As per the latest statistics, Dangal showed a 16.92% growth on Saturday and miraculous 21.63% growth on Sunday.
And with such strong and massive figures in just 2-3 days of its release the film reached the 100 crores club.Following the previous blockbusters including Ghajini (2008), 3 Idiots (2009), Dhoom 3 (2013) and PK (2014), Dangal is expected to break all other records and set new benchmarks. Dangal is also doing very well in the overseas market. The film has managed to gather approximately 65 crores in international market. It’s doing exceptionally well in the Middle East and North America.
So far considering the first 3 days collection, Dangal has the highest Sunday box office collection for any Hindi Film. Trade Analyst Komal Nahta tweeted, “Rs.42.35 crore was the Sunday figure for #Dangal (all versions), the highest Sunday for any film. Weekend total Rs.106.95 crore, highest ever.” The film has 5th highest weekend opening box office collection after Sultan, Prem Ratan Dhan Payo, Happy New Year and Dhoom 3 respectively.
The makers of Dangal came up with another strategy to keep getting audiences even after many days of its release. They are doing everything needed to be done to keep up with the momentum of the film. Dangal makers teamed up with Anand Gandhi of ElseVR. They came up with the virtual making of Dangal too. Now the viewer’s get to see the first hand experience of its making at various locations it is being shot in. Now the watchers can see the film crew, behind the scenes and many other unseen moments from the film.
