The Amir Khan starrer Dangal is a film based on two parameters- it is based on the lives of two women wrestlers Phogat sisters who later go on to win medals for India in international sports competitions and also it is a strong message giving flick which says that girls are equal to men and they can do anything just like boys if given opportunity. And the film is still going super strong after 3days of its release.
For the first time director Nitesh Tiwari and Aamir Khan came together for Dangal. The film is co-written by writters Nitesh Tiwari, Piyush Gupta, Shreyas Jain and Nikhil Meharotra. Talking on the work front for Nitesh Tiwari, he earlier directed small budget films including Chillar Party and Bhoothnath Returns. Dangal is shot in Ludhiana, Delhi and Pune.
In the initial three days of its release, Dangal Crossed Rs. 100 crore club at the box office. And just like any other Amir Khan film, this film is also expected to break all the previous records and setting new benchmarks.
Recently, The economist Taran Adarsh tweeted about Dangal’s first three days success. Taran tweeted, “#Dangal hits CENTURY… Crosses ₹ 100 cr mark… Sun biz was HUMONGOUS… Smashing RECORDS… Setting new BENCHMARKS…” he further wrote “#Dangal Fri 29.78 cr, Sat 34.82 cr, Sun 42.35 cr. Total: ₹ 106.95 cr [incl Tamil and Telugu]. India biz. FANTABULOUS!,” .
Now everyone has the same question can Dangal be the new phenomenon for the filmmakers? Will it be able to set all the new benchmarks for the movies to come?
In last few years, bollywood has already given so many such films based on biopic, sports and many more based on some real incidents. And tr biggest challenge faced by Dangal was its comparison with the Salman Khan starrer Sultan which rolled down on the silver screen few months ago only.
Despite of all these facts, the film is getting all the love and unprecedented appreciation for the film by the audiences. And it is clearly showed up in the box office numbers, social media comments and housefull theatres.
Another popular trade analyst taran adarsh took it to tweeter and wrote “#Dangal Fri 29.78 cr, Sat 34.82 cr, Sun 42.35 cr. Total: ₹ 106.95 cr [incl Tamil and Telugu]. India biz. FANTABULOUS!
