Here is the Dangal movie review: take a look!

The upcoming flick about popular sport wrestling and also about international Indian women wrestling sisters. Amir Khan starrer Dangal is already in trending news for all the right reasons. It is being said that Amir’s future performances will be judged against his performance in Dangal because he was so so good, unmatchable.

Dangal works on two parameters-as in, it is about a popular spot called wrestling and also comes out as a strong message giving empowering feminism.Amir Khan plays a failed wrestler who is a caring and loving father and also he wants his daughters to reach to the sky in wrestling (the sport he couldn’t succeed in). His wife is being played by akka Sakshi Tanwar. And his daughters are Fatima Sana Sheikh, Sanya Malhotra, Aparshakti Khurrana, Vivan Bhatena in the movie.

The beautiful movie about feminine statement is directed by Nitesh Tiwari. The story of Dangal is inspired from two female wrestlering sisters of Haryana who not only  made it to international Olympics but also won there. And they are non other than Geeta- Babeeta.

Amir Khan will be seen as a fit wanabe wrestler in one part of movie with squat, with a heavy belly, a deliberate gait, and a grizzled beard. Only his ears are familiar: the rest you can’t recognise him as Amir, he is pure character. He plays Mahavir Singh Phogat, failed wrestler. And he seeks his ambitions in his two elder daughters Geeta (Fatima Sana Shaikh) and Babita (Sanya Malhotra), and trains them to become wrestlers. The gizzled wrestler believes it with great difficulty and then makes the world believe the fact that ‘chorris’ are no less than ‘chorras’. The film beautifully presents the beauty of wrestling as an art.

It makes us feel and smell the ‘mitti’ of the ‘akhara’, the ‘daanv-pench’ (moves) used by skilled wrestlers. We witness the blood, sweat, tears and commitments it takes to reach on the pedestal of champion. The other strong message conveyed in the film is about women empowerment. Mahavir is ridiculed repetitively by people for pushing his young daughters into a male-oriented sport of wrestling and also for his wife who couldn’t give a boy child. But it also shows in a very refined way, if girls are given equal chances then they can win medals and prizes in national as well as international arenas.Just like real life wrestlers Geeta and Babeeta won gold and silver medals in Commonwealth games, Olympic qualifier.
All in all, Dangal has all the elements which give you a reason to go and watch this movie.

Thank you! And stay tuned in for more updates with us.
