Earlier this year, Facebook was allegedly accused of violating net neutrality with Free Basics, social networking giant Facebook is conducting an examination on offering quality internet access to people in rural areas. As per Facebook’s Internet.org page, the company’s “Express Wifi” working live and it is presently collaborated with carriers, internet service providers and local entrepreneurs to help expand the connectivity in the remote areas.
However, so far Facebook didn’t clarify if the WiFi will provide limited access to a few particular websites or provide full access.
Express WiFi basically empowers and funds local entrepreneurs to help provide quality internet access to their neighbours and make a steady income with it. “Working with local internet service providers or mobile operators, they use the software provided by Facebook to connect their people,” claims Express Wifi.
