Fear of Arrest made Zakir Naik Avoid to attempt his father’s funeral in Mumbai

On Sunday, father of radical preacher Dr Zakir Naik, Dr Abdul Kareem Naik was passed away at the age of 88 in the city hospital. Naik, who is currently staying in Malaysia, didn’t turn up for his father funeral conducted in Mumbai, in accordance to the reports coming from the sources.


Naik’s father was the current president of the Bombay Psychiatric Society. While there is no new FIR against Naik, the Center is get ready to announce his NGO Islamic Research Foundation an “unlawful association” under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act. A draft being concluded by the Center refers to Naik’s “provocative” addresses, criminal arguments against him and his connections with Peace TV which purportedly includes “collective” substance as reason for a boycott.

Born in Ratnagiri in Maharashtra coastal, Dr Abdul Kareem, an educationist and physician, was admitted to Mazgaon’s Prince Aly Khan Hospital a couple days prior. He endured heart failure and was announced dead at 3.30 am on Sunday. The funeral was gone to by around 1,500 individuals, including legal advisors, specialists, government officials, and representatives at the Nariyalwadi Qabrastan, close Reay Road station.
