“India one of the most open world economies”


On Sunday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said “India is one of the most open world economies” with a strong growth rate. All the reforms made by his government were clearly visible. Modi told the Brics Business Council as part of the eighth summit of the five-nation grouping here. The Modi government has launched various initiatives such as Make in India, Digital India, also launched Bankruptcy code which will help the failed companies to make an exit, and passed the indirect taxation legislation on goods and services tax which will make the country a single market.

Prime Minister Modi also said that there was a need to have a proper structure and norms and also need to pool our capacities to stop tax evasion and fight against corruption.
