The MNS workers are protesting against Karan Johar for casting Pakistani actor Fawad Khan in his upcoming film ‘Ae Dil Hai Mushkil‘. The protest is on from Tuesday afternoon.
As per reports, approximately 100 party workers headed towards Dharma premises to assemble outside the director’s Andheri west office.
They are seen shouting slogans. As a result, the security is beefed up.The party demanded the Pakistani actor to be boycotted from the film and pushed out of our nation. The protest came into existence only when the chief of MNS’s cinema workers’ unit Chitapat Karamchari Sena had given a 48-hour ultimatum to Fawad Khan to back off and leave India.
The MNS leader threatens by saying that ,”Pakistani artistes will get beaten up. Along with them, we will also beat up whichever producer or director is with them.”In an interview with a daily mirror, Karan Johar pledged his support to Fawad Khan. He further supported his cause by saying that banning an actor might be of no use as it has got nothing to do with the geopolitical problems between the two nations. He instead questioned the political party’s move saying, “I understand the anger and the anguish that surround us and I empathise, my heart bleeds for the lost lives.
There is nothing that can justify this terrible feeling of terror. Then you are faced in a situation such as this (asking for a ban on Pak artistes). If this was truly a solution, one would take it.” He went on to explain, “But this is not a solution. I don’t believe it is. The larger forces have to come together and sort the situation and this cannot be banning talent or art.”
The director said that all he wanted to do was produce a sweet romantic film and nothing else. He was all keen to do a creative movie, spread love and entertain people.
The things could be made better and happier if people understand this simple thought.
