The DEMU service is a train which has multiple units and it comes with onboard diesel engines and they are incorporated into one of the carriages. It doesn’t require any separate locomotive or engine.

All the passenger coaches have power sources fitted below the coach which helps this train in quick acceleration and retardation.

The coaches have quite good seating capacity. According to sources, there will be total eight coaches in the DEMU train between Dibrugarh-Tinsukia stretch.
