O Panneerselvam sworn in as new Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu following the demise of Jaya

The cabinet retains Jaya after her untimely death. And O Panneerselvam is appointed as the new Chief Minister of the Tamil Nadu.

O Paneerrselvam was appointed the new Chief Minister of the state at a simple function which was held at Raj Bhavan in the wee of hours of Tuesday evening. Along with with 31 Cabinet Ministers also sworn in.
The Governor C Vidyasagar Rao was in for administration of the oath of the office and oath of secrecy to the council of Ministers.

Panneerselvam is appointed as CM for the third time. Earlier, he held the office for a period of 13 years from 2001 and 2014.
After he resumed the office, the other ministers pledged together. And the whole ceremony lasted for 10minutes.

Following Jaya’s death, early on this Tuesday Panneerselvam was elected as the leader of AIADMK (After a meeting held at party headquarters).
The meeting lasted for a duration of 45 minutes. After the meeting all the MLAs moved to the Raj Bhavan.
Later, we got to see a picture posted by Council of Ministers with the Governor. Later, they left for Poes Garden where Jayalalithaa used to live.
