Saving YouTube Videos Using Movavi Screen Recorder

Do you like watching videos on YouTube and wish there was some way you could save the videos you like most so you can watch them offline? It may surprise you but that isn’t actually as difficult as you might think, and there are actually several ways to do so.

The most flexible way to save YouTube videos is to record them on your screen using Movavi Screen Recorder. Despite the fact that it may initially seem complicated, the truth is that it is easy and straightforward to set up the recording and will only take you a minute or two at most.

If you’d like to try it for yourself, go ahead and open up a YouTube video that you’d like to save but don’t play it just yet. Instead, launch Movavi Screen Recorder and as soon as you do draw a frame over the video using your mouse cursor to define it as the capture area.

Immediately afterward the Movavi Screen Recorder interface will appear. At this point, you can adjust the frame that you drew, use the presets in the list under ‘Capture Area’, or adjust the other recording parameters such as the audio source, frame rate, or sound levels.

It may help to click on the ‘alarm clock’ icon on the interface as it will let you automate the recording. To be more specific you can choose to set a timer so that Movavi Screen Recorder automatically stops recording after the video is over, or schedule both a start and stop time.

When you’re ready you can then click ‘REC’ to start recording and play the YouTube video after you do. If you didn’t set a timer, you can then click ‘Stop’ when the video is done and Movavi Screen Recorder will immediately save the video you recorded as MKV and let you go over it in the ‘Preview’ window that opens up.

In the ‘Preview’ window you could also trim out any unwanted parts from your video, such as footage that may have been inadvertently captured at the start or end. On top of that you could opt to save it in a different format, or use one of the presets available to automatically optimize it for a certain device or platform.

It is certainly worth trying to record and save a YouTube video at least once with Movavi Screen Recorder. When you do you will be able to see for yourself how quickly it can be set up, and how convenient it is. Keep in mind that you can actually use these same steps to record anything at all from your screen – including other types of online streaming videos too.
