Stone Pelting at Wagah Border


Some Pakistanis began raising anti-India slogans and started pelting stones on the Indian side of the Wagah Border a few minutes before the retreat ceremony began on Sunday evening. As tension prevailed, the entry of Indian public was barred from attending the retreat in the aftermath of the Indian Army’s operation by the Border Security Forces (BSF) and resumed public entry only on Sunday.

Only 250-300 people were present on the Indian Side of the border as compared to thousand on Pakistan’s side as informed by a BSF official.
