The Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) has decided to apply the mud pack theory to the Taj Mahal as its yellow marbles on the main dome has caught global media attention. This theory will be produce desired results and can ultimately be successful as said by ASI. But this will have a lot of impact on the local tourism industry.
According to the ASI, the scaffolding around the main dome of the Taj Mahal will continue for almost a year and with the tourism season almost round the corner, the industry majors are voicing their concerns over the negative effect of the ugly-looking scaffolding.
Authorities have been applying mud packs around the side walls and towers since last year to whiten the impurities out of the stone, but the central dome was not touched.
