XAT, commonly known as ‘Xavier’s Aptitude Test’ is one of the most popular entrance tests conducted on the national level for admissions to various management programs of top tier B-schools at Post Graduate level in India. The test of XAT 2017 will be conducted in the January-1st week, 2017. The exam conducting authority responsible for holding XAT is XLRI (Xavier Labour Relations Institute) in Jamshedpur. Registrations will be done online for XAT 2016.
The Application Process for XAT 2017 will commence from the 1st week of September in 2016 and will likely to be made continued until the last week of November in 2016. XAT 2017 Admit Card will be made available for download by the 2nd week of December in 2016 only for successfully registered candidates. The test, ‘XAT 2017’ will be conducted in 47 cities (approx.) of the country. The XAT 2017 Score Cards will be mailed to the registered mail ids of the candidates by the January-end, 2017.

Eligibility criteria for XAT 2017
The candidates who are applying for XAT 2017 should carefully read the given eligibility criteria before filling in the Application Form of XAT 2017. The XAT 2017 eligibility criteria require the candidates as:
- A Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline of minimum duration of 3 years or equivalent from any recognized University.
- Final Year appearing candidates are also eligible to apply for XAT 2017 provided their awaited XAT results of final year examinations should be declared before the XAT 2017 admission process.
- No restriction of the minimum required marks criteria to appear in XAT 2017.
- Foreign and NRI Candidates are also eligible for XAT 2017 on the basis of their GMAT Score Card (except Kathmandu and Dubai candidates).
Note: Fulfilling the above-given criteria is not only sufficient, but the candidates have to fulfill per institute wise criteria also for getting admissions.
XAT 2017 Reservation
There is no any reservation prescribed for XAT 2017. The seats will be reserved as per the norms and regulations of the participating institutions for different categories.
Application Fees for XAT 2017
The applying candidates will have to pay the specified application fee in order to finish the application process successfully. The XAT 2017 Application fees for various candidates are given below.
General Category (no relaxation for reserved category)
Fee: INR 1500/-
Indian Applicants (applying through GMAT score)
Fee: INR 2500/-
NRI Candidates (applying through GMAT score)
Fee: INR 5000/-
NOTE: General Candidates will have to pay an additional fee of INR 250/- who are interested in any of the programs conducted by XLRI.
The candidates can deposit the required application fee through any of the 3 modes of payment available – Online Transfer (Credit or Debit Card), Cash Deposit at the nearest branch of IDBI bank and through Demand Draft issued in favor of “XLRI Jamshedpur A/c XAT”.
Application Process of XAT 2017 through GMAT
The Candidates with a valid GMAT score between December 1, 2014, and December 20, 2016, are also applicable for applying XAT in the below programs:
- Admissions to NRIs in BM, Global MBA, HRM and GMP courses
- Admissions to Indian residents in Global MBA and GMP courses
